Microsoft had earlier announced that Windows Mobile users will not be getting the Windows 10 mobile upgrade until early next year. Thus, it is only users with the Lumia 950/950 XL and Lumia 550 that will cross over into 2016 with Windows 10 mobile running on their devices.

Things are even more daunting for users of Windows mobile devices that are not of the Lumia series. Microsoft has not even hinted to non-Lumia devices getting the Windows 10 Mobile update, let alone mentioning when they could be getting the updates.

But if you own a Windows Mobile device, there is a leaked list of eligible smartphones for the Windows 10 Mobile upgrade on Reddit. As much as this is a leaked list, all indications seem to point that the list holds ground and may very well be the official record maintained by Microsoft. This list has been apparently extracted from Microsoft’s site, and split into batches. It is believed Microsoft will give out the Windows 10 Mobile upgrades in waves.

List of Lumia Smartphones not Eligible for Window 10 Mobile Upgrade

It seems Microsoft included some Lumia smartphone in the lists of Windows mobile devices that will not be getting the Windows 10 Mobile upgrade. They include the Lumia 505, Lumia 510, Lumia 530 (including Dual SIM model), Lumia 610 (including NFC model), Lumia 710, Lumia 800, Lumia 810, Lumia 820 and Lumia 900.

If you own any of the above Lumia smartphones, sorry to say, you will not be getting the Windows 10 Mobile upgrade. At least not in the official way intended by Microsoft.

Other non-Lumia smartphones that will also not be getting the Windows 10 Mobile upgrade include both the old HTC 8S and HTC 8X, LG Lancet, Samsung ATIV Odyssey, ATIV S, ATIV S Neo and ATIV SE. The same goes for the Lava Iris Win 1 smartphone.

You should know that the list mentioned above include devices that could be work in progress and might eventually be eligible for the Windows 10 Mobile upgrade. If your device is listed above don’t lose hope entirely, yours might be some of the devices that will get the upgrade eventually.
