Chatter at SamMobile indicates the South Korean electronics giant Samsung is currently working on a mammoth 18.4-inched tablet. If you know the first thing about the Android marketplace, then it would be there are all sorts of device makers in that space.

Samsung had to draw out its teeth-and-claws to become the leading Android device maker, a record it has held onto for some years now. However, the company’s profit in the recent past has been somewhat taking a nose-dive. The mammoth 18.4 inched tablet could be what the company need to carve out a new space in the tablet market.

Be that as it may, Geek Savanna is going to take a look at what is tacked under the hood of the 18.4-inch Samsung tablet.Samsung launching a Mammoth 18.4-inch Tablet

Taking a look at the above specs (Source >> SamMobile), at Geek Savanna we would conclude that the 18.4-inch display has a poor resolution. For a device bordering 20-inches with just a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, the images are bound to be somewhat grainy. You might remember that the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 with 12-inched display has a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels.

The problem of battery life is also going to arise, lighting a 12-inched tablet’s screen is tasking already to a battery. With an 18.4-inche display, Samsung will need to put in place some pretty slick power-saving mode to keep the mammoth device not running out of juice so fast that it would annoying.

However, there is no official confirmation as to when Samsung will launch this mammoth tablet. Geek Savanna predicts that it could be this September at the annual IFA electronics show, which will be held in Berlin, Germany.
